Birth of a Bike Lane

Today, work began on new bike lanes in downtown Pittsburgh. I zipped over on my lunch hour to see the work:



Signage!

Removal of the double yellows.

Bikes permitted!



Awkward placement, I wonder how this serves cyclists.
